The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed in regards to the high amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high SRD amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider point created for intervention encounters a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all clients and boost use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
